Kush Patel, O.D., received his Doctor of Optometry from Midwestern University in 2023. He earned his undergraduate degree from Loyola University in 2018.
Dr. Patel’s journey into optometry began during his undergraduate years when he struggled with vision issues despite wearing glasses and contacts. He was diagnosed with keratoconus, a corneal condition, and underwent a corneal cross-linking procedure followed by a specialized contact lens fitting. Experiencing firsthand the life-changing impact of vision correction, he developed a deep appreciation for the importance of sight and was inspired to help others maintain their vision and quality of life.
Originally from the Northwest suburbs of Chicago, Dr. Patel now lives in Streamwood. He enjoys building meaningful relationships with his patients and colleagues, valuing both the personal and clinical aspects of patient care. With a special interest in cataract surgery co-management, dry eye treatment, myopia management, and ocular disease care, he is dedicated to providing comprehensive eye health solutions. Beyond his work, he appreciates the balance optometry provides, allowing him to connect with patients while maintaining a fulfilling lifestyle.
Justin Abraham, O.D., earned his Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2021, after completing his Bachelor of Science from Augustana College in 2018.
Dr. Abraham’s special fields of interest encompass specialty contact lenses, ocular disease, dry eyes, and glaucoma. His passion for healthcare and biology inspired him to pursue a career in optometry. Dr. Abraham places significant value on patient interactions, actively forming meaningful relationships within the community, and striving to positively impact others’ lives. In addition, he is fluent in English, Spanish, and Malayalam.
Outside of his professional commitments, Dr. Abraham enjoys watching and playing basketball and football. He is an avid traveler who appreciates exploring new places.
Charvi Patel, O.D. completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at Midwestern University Chicago College of Optometry in 2023, following her Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences from the University of Illinois, Chicago in 2019.
Dr. Patel’s professional mission centers on dispelling the common misconception that optometrists solely address vision correction through glasses and contact lenses. She firmly believes in the extensive potential of the optometry field, where daily patient care can significantly enhance their quality of life in profound and unforeseen ways. Apart from her English proficiency, Dr. Patel is fluent in Gujarati and Hindi, which allows her to effectively communicate and cater to a diverse range of patients.
Beyond her optometric practice, Dr. Patel enjoys spending her time traveling, exploring new cities, watching movies, and prioritizing much-needed sleep.
Amie Gandhi, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry from Midwestern University Chicago College of Optometry. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with minors in Psychology and International Studies from Loyola University Chicago. Dr. Gandhi’s passion for optometry began at a young age when she received her first pair of eyeglasses.
Dr. Gandhi believes that the sense of sight is a crucial aspect of one’s quality of life and finds it rewarding to help others achieve clear, comfortable vision. Furthermore, Dr. Gandhi values that the eyes are the window to inside the body where you can see conditions such as diabetes or high blood pressure, and she enjoys working with fellow medical professionals to provide quality healthcare to patients.
When she isn’t caring for patients, Dr. Gandhi enjoys exploring new restaurants, traveling to new cities, spending time with loved ones, and caring for her cat Louie.
Dr. Anderson has over 40 years of experience as a practicing Optometrist. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University. He pursued Optometric training and was awarded his doctorate at Indiana University School of Optometry. He holds certification in competency-based examination in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease from THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF BOARDS OF EXAMINERS IN OPTOMETRY. He is a charter member of the American Optometric Association Contact Lens Section.
Dr. Anderson is active in his church and Men’s Community Bible Study. Dr. Anderson joined Primary Eye Care Centers in March 2014. His favorite part of practicing Optometry is helping people see life.
Dr. Kittle has over 38 years of experience caring for patients’ vision and the health of their eyes. He was born and raised in Rockford, where his father worked at Sundstrand for over 35 years. He enjoys writing and photography and is very active in the Christian community, having pastored a local church for over eight years.
Dr. Kittle did his undergraduate studies at the University of Iowa and entered Illinois College of Optometry to pursue medical training as one of only five early enrollment candidates. There, he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Visual Science in 1980 and graduated Summa Cum Laude with his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1981.
Dr. Kittle resides in Rockford with his wife, Gini, and their son, Benjamin. Doctor Kittle especially enjoys children’s vision and advanced contact lens design and cares for patients from birth through adulthood. He focuses on primary eye care, including prescribing eyeglasses and contacts and diagnosing and managing eye disease.
